The media reports in Pristina suggest that the EU is considering appointing a diplomatic envoy to Serbia. They would be in charge of technical negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina. EU to appoint envoy to technical talks? Albanian language daily Express writes, quoting its sources, that the idea came from the government in Belgrade, "during diplomatic talks". However, it remains unclear whether the envoy would be named as EU's special representative, "as is the case in Kosovo, Macedonia and Bosnia", or if they would act as Javier Solana's personal representative. The newspaper's sources also mentioned "a Danish diplomat stationed in Belgrade for a long time, who previously worked in Kosovo" as the likely candidate, but stopped short of naming any names. The future EU envoy to Serbia, according to this, would also be in charge of an EULEX office in the Serbian capital. In the meantime, there are no new details on the talks between Belgrade and Pristina, announced and then denied several times from various sources during the past few weeks. However, the daily says that besides the six-point plan agreed on by Belgrade and the UN, the negotiations would also discuss "the Kosovo Trust Agency and missing persons".
