UNMIK and its chief Lambero Zannier will start a new round of technical talks between Belgrade and Pristina, a Kosovo daily says. Albanian language newspaper Kosova Sot writes today that the agenda will include "spreading of the Kosovo institutions in the north". "UNMIK to start new round of talks" "Customs, police, EULEX functioning and spreading of the institutional authority in the north of Kosovo will be the areas where UNMIK will look to contribute," the daily says, quoting its unnamed sources. UNMIK's high ranking officials have confirmed that the negotiations would continue, and that the basis for the talks will the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's latest Kosovo report. UNMIK will this time attempt to be "more concrete", the report said, and explained this meant that the UN mission "intends to organize direct meetings between Kosovo and Serb experts". The daily adds that the talks will also be dedicated to "finding ways to implement the six-point document", which the Kosovo Albanian leadership has rejected. There has yet been no reaction to these announcements in Pristina. Kosovo's president, Fatmir Sejdiu, said on several occasions that Pristina "does not object to dialogue with neighbors, but that it must be a dialogue between countries".
