SNS deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic says that SRS leader Vojislav Seselj barred him from appearing at the SNS meeting in Hrtkovci. "I know perfectly well who is in a position to give orders to the Radicals. Seselj did not call for my assassination, but ordered me not to be allowed to appear or speak, to feel like a persona non grata in Ruma and Hrtkovci,” Vucic told B92. "Seselj barred me from speaking" He said that he could not reveal the reasons why the Serb Progressive Party’s (SNS) meeting in Hrtkovci had been called off, but denied that it was linked to the local elections. Vucic refuted all the Serb Radical Party’s (SRS) media accusations, adding that they “are ruthlessly trying to disrupt my life.” He said that for the last two or three years he had been trying to create a policy different to some of the SRS’s principles. The Interior Ministry called off the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) meetings in Hrtkovci and Ruma—scheduled for last Saturday and Sunday respectively—for security reasons. He told a press conference that he had received a note from both the Interior Ministry and the Security-Information Agency that the meetings could not take place because of the security risks to people and property.
