U.S. welcomes return of ambassador
The U.S. has commended Serbia’s decision to allow its ambassador to return to Washington, according to the American embassy in Belgrade.

The U.S. has commended Serbia’s decision to allow its ambassador to return to Washington, according to the American embassy in Belgrade. “The United States commends the decision of the Serbian government to return its ambassador, Ivan Vujacic, to Washington. The decision represents an important step in developing relations between the two countries,” the embassy stated. U.S. welcomes return of ambassador The government decided on October 9 to return all of its ambassadors to countries from which they had been recalled for consultations after the countries in question recognized Kosovo’s unilateral independence declaration. The U.S. embassy added in its statement that Washington expected a continuation of the excellent cooperation with Ambassador Vujacic and hoped that close relations would develop between the people of Serbia and the U.S.
