Montenegro will continue dual citizenship talks with Serbia beyond the original deadline for reaching an agreement, which had been set for October 22. "I don’t see October 22 as any sort of a judgment day. That date’s basically been set as a time frame by which talks should end,” said Montenegro’s Deputy Interior Minister Svetozar Djurovic. Dual citizenship talks to continue beyond deadline Djurovic said that if an agreement was reached, it would be ratified in the Montenegrin parliament, thus becoming law. He reiterated that Serbian and Montenegrin negotiating teams had agreed on certain issues in the talks so far, and that an agreement was within reach.
