Gojković's NP to team up with DSS-NS
DSS spokesman Andreja Mladenović has confirmed that the DSS, NS and the National Party have agreed on cooperation and a coalition at the next elections.

DSS spokesman Andreja Mladenovic has confirmed that the DSS, NS and the National Party have agreed on cooperation and a coalition at the next elections. Mladenovic told Beta that a number of meetings would be held in the coming days between the leaders of the three parties and that a cooperation agreement could be signed in the next 10 days. Gojkovic's NP to team up with DSS-NS “The moment Maja Gojkovic decided to form the National Party, the most natural and best idea for us was for the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS), New Serbia (NS) and the National Party (NP) to form a strong union,” he said, adding that the three parties were “guided by the same idea of the defense of a democratic Serbia’s state and national interests.” The spokesman said that the first meeting had been held on Friday in Novi Sad at the promotion of DSS leader Vojislav Kostunica’s book, “The Defense of Kosovo”, adding that it was a great honor for Kostunica and NS leader Velimir Ilic that a woman would be one of the leaders of the new union. “Asked whether it was possible to broaden the union to any other right-of-center parties, the Serb Progressive Party or the Serb Radical Party, Mladenovic said that opposition cooperation in parliament would continue, but that the DSS would not be interfering in the conflict between the SRS and their former colleagues, the Progressives. Gojkovic told daily Novosti that she would soon be reinforcing the DSS-NS coalition, stating that she saw her political future in successful cooperation with Kostunica and Ilic. “I attended the book promotion at Vojislav Kostunica’s personal invitation. We’ve known each other for 20 years, and we needed only a few minutes to click and agree on close cooperation within the nationalist bloc,” she said. The NP leader expects new elections to be called soon, adding that the opposition had to find a model for fighting together to achieve their goals. Gojkovic confirmed that a united nationalist bloc would be formed at the next elections, adding that her counterparts in the DSS and NS expected the same. “The ideas we espouse give stability to this country.
