This Islamic community sent out its "sternest condemnation of the violation of religious rights", pertaining to "disturbances of religious education classes by some school headmasters in Sandzak", which, according to Zukorlic's Islamic Community, is being illegally tolerated by the ministries of education and religion. The statement also reminds of a protest announced earlier, set to take place on Oct. 13, in front of the Vuk Karadzic elementary school in Tutin. What Zukorlic's faction sees as contentious is the fact that religion teachers close to the rival Islamic Community of Serbia have been engaged is some schools in the Sandzak region since the start of September. Two weeks ago, Zukorlic called on his followers not to pay television fees to the state television, "because of its anti-Muslim activities".
