Ivica Dacic says a working group has been set up to look into the goings-on during the July 29 protests in Belgrade. “Upon my orders, an eight-member working group has been set up within the Interior Ministry to determine all the circumstances that led to the incidents and the wounding of citizens and policemen during the Serb Radical Party (SRS) rally in Belgrade on July 29 this year,” said the interior minister. Working group to assess SRS protest violence He reiterated that he had staid on several occasions that the police had been ordered not to use force unless attacked. “Furthermore, it is also a well known fact that 58 policemen and 27 citizens were injured at that public gathering. However, all cases of transgressions of police authority that led to the wounding of citizens, will be sanctioned most severely without any exceptions whatsoever, and this includes the death of (Ranko) Panic,” Dacic underlined, ahead of the start of today’s parliamentary session.
