Rupel: Resistance is temporary

Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel today commented on the crises in Kosovo and the Caucausus. He assessed that the Kosovo issue cannot be linked to that of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, Georgia's seceded republics whose indepedence was recently recognized by Russia. Rupel: Resistance is temporary Rupel also said that the resistance of certain EU member countries to recognizing Kosovo Albanians' declaration is only temporary. "I believe that the resistance is only temporary," he told the Austrian national news agency APA, evaluating that it would disappear as soon Kosovo became ready to join the EU. Rupel qualified as a good result the fact that about 50 countries had recognized Kosovo unilateral proclamation of independence.
