Changes announced in local govt. law

The Minister for State Administration Milan Markovic says a change in the Law on Local Self-Government. The amendment will seek impact the halted privatization of the local media. "The privatization of the media in the languages of the minorities had to be stopped due to a curtailing of the minorities' rights," contrary to the constitution, Markovic explained. According to him, this problem was spotted over a year ago, but no one "had the intention to resolve it".
