Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic welcomes the return of ambassadors to EU "as that's where diplomatic activity is most needed". Serbia is trying "to exert an influence on all countries that have not yet recognized the independence of Kosovo, as well as on those that have done and have a strong influence on certain other countries, to continue demonstrating restraint and to give Serbia as solid a negotiating position as possible," Djukic-Dejanovic, SPS, told Belgrade-based Studio B TV on Thursday evening. "Ambassadors' return justified" “It is important to ensure synchronized activities,“ she said, pointing out that there had already been results at international level, but "what is happening in Serbia is not a good message." Djukic-Dejanovic said that there were a number of countries that had been on the verge of recognizing Kosovo’s unilateral independence, but after learning that Serbia would be seeking the opinion of the International Court of Justice, had decided to postpone their decision, even though the U.S. was exerting pressure on them not to wait.
