The SPS says a declaration on political reconciliation between the SPS and DS will be signed by the end of the month. "We created a document that has envisaged principles of cooperation and responsibilities of the two parties, and determined the joint stand of what Serbia should look like in future, as a state of social justice, an economically developed country, an EU member with a system of values acceptable for all Serbian citizens and working in their benefit," Obradovic told Tanjug. DS-SPS declaration formulated The document voiced the two parties' agreement on the fact that the past should be looked upon with the "language of facts" because this approach would make it possible to draw a lesson from the past to avoid past mistakes being repeated. The Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) vice-president said that the importance of the declaration primarily lay in the fact that the parties "which were on different sides until yesterday have the strength and ability to agree on Serbia's state and national interests" and "put a comma and not a full stop" on history until the point of the establishment of the new Serbian government. "Therefore, they should put a comma on something which till yesterday was and is part of history, without correcting the past or modifying any of its parts," Obradovic said.
