Parliament will reconvene tomorrow with an altered agenda, where the Kosovo resolution will be the fourth, not first item. After consultations with whips, Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic is expected to withdraw today’s planned agenda and submit a new one, where the draft resolution on continuing the state policy on Kosovo will be the fourth item as opposed to the first, as originally planned. Session adjourned, agenda reshuffle Parliament’s emergency session was adjourned just after 10.00 CET this morning in order to for new MP mandates to be verified, and also because of consultations on further work. Consultations are currently under way between the prime minister and whips on the matter. Earlier, the government proposed that the resolution on Kosovo be considered and adopted urgently, so that parliament could express its views on state policy thus far and in future on the government's handling of the crisis sparked by the unilateral declaration of Kosovo independence, and confirm the continuity of state policy on this issue. “In the defense of sovereignty, territorial integrity and constitutional order, the Serbian government will use all legal, political and diplomatic means at its disposal,“ states the draft resolution. It goes on to say that Serbia will ratify the SAA with the EU with Kosovo as a constituent part of its territory. The Serb Radical Party, the Democratic Party of Serbia, and New Serbia have submitted their own joint counter proposal rejecting the deployment of the EULEX mission in Kosovo, while the Liberal Democratic Party has also submitted its own proposal. Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic initially adjourned today's session until midday in order for the Administrative Committee to verify the mandates of the 12 MPs to replace those officials appointed as cabinet members and state secretaries. These include Goran Bogadnovic and Oliver Dulic of the DS, as well as Ivica Dacic, Jovan Krkobabic, Milutin Mrkonjic and Zarko Obradovic from the SPS-PUPS-JS coalition.
