VS-KFOR cooperation praised

The head of the Joint Committee for the Implementation of the Kumanovo Agreement has praised the cooperation between the Serbian Army (VS) and KFOR. “Recent developments have shown that the common language and understanding of the provisions of the Military - Technical Agreement, signed by both sides, have prevented any misunderstandings with regards to security issues,” Karsten Anderson told the latest issue of the military magazine Odbrana (Defense). VS-KFOR cooperation praised Speaking on the occasion of the 300th meeting of the Joint Committee held in mid-May, Andersen stated that the establishment of hot lines had particularly improved communication between the Serbian Army and KFOR at all levels, thus enabling fast reaction to possible misunderstandings and conflict situations. “Problems should be resolved at the lowest possible levels in order to prevent tensions from surfacing,” Andersen said, pointing out that as far as cooperation at the highest level was concerned, the fact that this had been the 300th such meeting spoke volumes. He stated that there was no doubt that the Serbian Army was composed of genuine professionals who could be trusted on the issues that had been agreed upon.
