Rasim Ljajic says that both party and state interests will lead the SPS to form a government with the “For a European Serbia” list. The Sandzak Democratic Party (SDP), led by Ljajic, was one of the parties on the pro-European DS-led ticket at the May 11 elections. Pro-EU govt.“in SPS best interests” Ljajic said that the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) had both short and long-term interests in forming a coalition with the pro-European parties. “The short-term bonus would be that they would have more ministers as a second partner in a coalition with For a European Serbia, than they would with the Radicals and Democratic Party of Serbia,” he pointed out.
