The EU is “following the political process in Serbia after the recent elections with great interest,” according to Oliver Dulic. The parliamentary speaker was speaking to a representative of the Council of Europe’s Western Balkans Directorate, Stefan Lehne, reports Dulic’s cabinet. “EU carefully following election process” In talks with Lehne, Dulic said that he expected a new, stable government to be formed quickly so that the European integration process could continue, along with the fight for the country’s territorial integrity. Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leader Cedomir Jovanovic also spoke with Lehne. According to the LDP, Jovanovic reiterated that the party would not join a government that included the Socialists, but that it would be a constructive opposition that would support every European law and proposal from a pro-European government.
