The parliamentary parties are suspending their electoral activities over Easter, with party officials spending the holidays at communion or with their families.

The parliamentary parties are suspending their electoral activities over Easter, with party officials spending the holidays at communion or with their families. Democratic Party (DS) leader Boris Tadic, who attended the Easter liturgy at High Decani Monastery, said that he had come with a message of peace and good will, but also with words of encouragement and support to the Serb people and clergy in Kosovo. Parties suspend campaigning for Easter Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica attended Easter morning mass at the Church of St. Djordje in Oplenac, near Topola. The same service, which was followed by the Easter liturgy, was also attended by Infrastructure Minister and New Serbia (NS) leader Velimir Ilic, academic Matija Beckovic, Security Services Chief Rade Bulatovic, and Professor Rados Ljusic. The Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) has announced that Faith Minister Radomir Naumov will be handing out Easter eggs to citizens, while the DSS-NS coalition’s candidate for Belgrade mayor Aleksandar Popovic will be visiting refugee families in Zemun. Serb Radical Party (SRS) candidate for mayor Aleksandar Vucic will be handing out Easter eggs to children and giving Easter greetings at the Zamak amusement arcade, near the Jugoslavija Hotel.

Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica attended Easter morning mass at the Church of St. Đorđe in Oplenac, near Topola.

The same service, which was followed by the Easter liturgy, was also attended by Infrastructure Minister and New Serbia (NS) leader Velimir Ilić, academic Matija Bećković, Security Services Chief Rade Bulatović, and Professor Radoš Ljušić.
