The DSS deputy leader says his party will form coalitions with all parties that support EU integration, with the proviso that Kosovo remains a constituent part of Serbia. Milos Aligrudic told today’s edition of daily Vecernje Novosti that the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) would never renounce these principles, and that it was prepared to negotiate with all parties on these principles. "DSS remains open to offers" He also denied that the DSS had already reached an agreement with the Serb Radical Party (SRS) over forming a government. “That’s utter nonsense. The fruit of someone’s over-active imagination. We won’t discuss post-election coalitions with anyone until after May 11, not even the SRS,“ the DSS deputy leader insisted. Asked to comment on SRS deputy leader Tomislav Nikolic’s statement that the DSS could, in a joint government, choose between the post of prime minister or the majority of ministries, he replied that the DSS was not interested in calculations. “Every party sends messages that they think will benefit them. They don’t say that to bolster the DSS-New Serbia coalition, but to bolster themselves,“ Aligrudic pointed out. Asked whether he ruled out a new coalition with the Democratic Party and G17 Plus, the DSS deputy leader responded: “We aren’t ruling anything out.“ “We’d have to give it a lot more thought, and insure ourselves if we were to reach any kind of agreement with them again. And that would only be possible if they accepted our policies, which means not renouncing Kosovo,“ he reiterated. Milos Aligrudic (FoNet, archive)
