Pack: Local elections violate 1244

Chairwoman of the European Parliament’s Delegation for Southeastern Europe Doris Pack says Resolution 1244 doesn't allow for Serbian local elections in Kosovo. “It is clear that Resolution 1244 doesn’t allow the organization of the Serbian local elections in Kosovo. I’m not talking about parliamentary elections, but about the local vote. Such elections aren’t valid and are unacceptable,” she said in Pristina after a meeting with UNMIK Chief Joachim Ruecker Friday.
