LDP leader Cedomir Jovanovic says that concern for the Kosovo Serbs cannot be displayed through their sacrifice, rather through taking responsibility for them. Peace among the Serb community in Kosovo will be possible if “we are ready to kneel down where we have to, and to knock on doors where we have to knock, in order to make peace with the Kosovo Albanians,” Jovanovic told a conference in Jagodina. LDP calls for reconciliation in Kosovo The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leader said that Europe’s past had been marked by countless wars—the English and French, just like the Germans and French had fought with each other for centuries, and now they were the best of friends. “We want our children in the future, when they think of friends, to think of Albanians, and for them to think of Serbs. Then, Kosovo will be more Serbian than it ever has been in its history,” he said. Jovanovic said that it was not important whether Ramush Haradinaj was in prison or not, but that “what’s important to us is what’s happening with [Ratko] Mladic and [Radovan] Karadzic,” and when the state was going to deliver them to the Hague Tribunal.
