Serbs gear up for rally in K. Mitrovica Tuesday The gathering is scheduled to start at noon tomorrow, and is organized by the Serb National Council (SNV) of Northern Kosovo. Beside top-ranking officials of the SNV, Belgrade actor Tihomir Arsic will also address the crowd. Invitations have been sent to singer Bora Djordjevic and swimmer Milorad Cavic, Tanjug's reporter in Kosovska Mitrovica says. The SNV for Northern Kosovo President Milan Ivanovic told the agency that a "clear message will be sent out from the rally to the international community that Serbs accept UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and cooperation with KFOR and UNMIK within the document's framework". "We will ask the international community not to destabilize the situation with possible arrests of the Kosovo Serb leaders," Ivanovic also said. He said that official Belgrade will be requested to pursue a unified policy on Kosovo and Metohija and to break diplomatic relations with Albania and some other states. Ivanovic underscored that Tuesday Serbs will reiterate once again that they do not wish to accept the EU mission in Kosovo, EULEX, "which is illegal." The SNV announced that big protests will be staged every week.
