The DSS has called on all parliamentary parties to maintain state and national unity in the struggle to preserve Kosovo. This was announced by Democratic Party of Serbia, DSS, spokesman Andrija Mladenovic in Belgrade Sunday. Kostunica party calls for national unity "The Serbian Constitution says that Kosovo is Serbia, as does the Serbian government's official program. This is also contained in all resolutions adopted by the parliament," Mladenovic told Tanjug. "The DSS calls on all parties not to split the country over the issue of EU association. Instead, we must all assume a joint position, that Serbia wants to join the EU together with Kosovo and Metohija as its integral and unalienable part." "It is of the greatest importance that we preserve this policy and thus maintain Serbia's state and national unity, because today we need it more than ever," Mladenovic underscored. According to him, "all parties have their programs, but with regards the issue of the defense of Kosovo and the principled stand that Serbia should join the EU with its province, we should be united, and the DSS is calling for such unity".
