Dragan Markovic, a.k.a. Palma, says he does not favor recalling ambassadors from countries that recognized Kosovo. The president of United Serbia, formerly allied with Zeljko Raznatovic, a.k.a. Arkan, a gangster and Milosevic regime collaborator who was gunned down ten years ago, told an audience in Leskovac that the moves the Serbian government is making over Kosovo Albanians' unilateral independence declaration are "not solving the problem". Jagodina-based Marković was also critical of the overall government policy and anti-independence protests.

While his "party will never recognize Kosovo", he said, some ministers are also using the issue to "gain political points".

"Instead of doing their jobs, they wish this story about Kosovo to go on for the next ten years, just as the one about the Republic of Srpska," Marković was critical.
