Holland supports Serbia’s European integration, but believes it must first complete Hague cooperation. "Holland completely supports the EU’s dedication to offering the west Balkan countries a European future, including Serbia, but first it must achieve full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal," said the Dutch ambassador to Belgrade, Ron Van Dartel. "Holland supports Serbia's Euro path, but demands Mladic" “It is entirely in Serbia hands. They have to cooperate fully with the Hague Tribunal before Holland supports signing of the [Stabilization and Association] Agreement (SAA) with Serbia,” Van Dartel told daily Danas. The ambassador added that “the best proof of cooperation would be Ratko Mladic’s extradition to the Hague Tribunal.” He stressed that “Holland views signing of the SAA and Kosovo as two different issues and processes.” Former Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic told Danas that Serbia was in an unenviable position, but was sure that EU representatives understood the complexity of the current political situation in the country. War Crimes Prosecution spokesman Bruno Vekaric told the same paper that Holland’s stance could only complicate the already problematic position the Action Team and the people tasked with completing Serbia’s cooperation with the Hague found themselves in.
