SPS President Ivica Dacic said that Mrkonjic was the best candidate as he was the only one who had done anything before standing for president. Dacic offered cooperation to all parties “who support social justice” and said that in 2000, the SPS’s last year in power, pensions had been 90 percent of the average wage, while today they were only 40 percent and falling.
