After a year-long pause, Serbia will send its ambassadors to Russia, Canada, Spain, Portugal and Slovenia.

Serbia appoints new ambassadors

The Ministry is yet to officially reveal the list of new appointments pursuant to the diplomatic code.

B92 has learned that Serbia’s new ambassador to Russia will be Stanimir Vukićević, a diplomat with the ministry since 1978. In his long career he served as ambassador tenure in Somalia, Albania and Bosnia.

President Boris Tadić’s political adviser Dušan Bataković will be appointed Serbia’s ambassador to Canada.

As for the Rome and London, the media speculate that Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica’s adviser Vladeta Janković and former Kosovo Coordinating Center chairwoman Sanda Rašković-Ivić will take up the posts.
