Lavrov: Russia won’t step aside

“That is a matter of principles, touching on too many political, historical and spiritual ties, and the situation like the one in 1952, when we did not vote on the Korean peninsula issues, cannot happen once again,” Lavrov said.

“That scenario – when Russians failed to even show up for the vote – will not happen again, I can guarantee that. When we talk about the voting in the UN Security Council, we should not take a position as if it is already predetermined. Everything depends on a package of proposals that will be put up for the voting,” he continued.

“If those proposals are acceptable to both Belgrade and Priština, that will mean there is agreement. If something is unacceptable to either side, it will be unacceptable for us. If someone tries to impose something unacceptable to Serbs, that becomes unacceptable for us as well,” Lavrov said.
