Sejdiu urges calm ahead of fresh protests

“Everyone in Kosovo must be clear on that”, Sejdiu stressed.

Now jailed Albin Kurti and his Self-Determination Movement have rejected the UN special envoy Martti Ahtisaari’s Kosovo status plan, demanding a unilateral declaration of independence by the Kosovo assembly.

The movement’s representatives said fresh protests, scheduled for tomorrow, would be peaceful, at the same time rejecting responsibility for any incidents that might occur.

Kosovo Police Service (KPS) say they will behave “according to the situation.”
