Serbia and Montenegro in planes dispute

The Serbian defense ministry said yesterday it will seek some of the airplanes and helicopters that were located at the Golubovci airport as Montenegro became independent.

In a statement for today’s Građanski List, Grahovac said that at the moment the state union of Serbia and Montenegro was formed, the airport near Podgorica housed a significantly larger number of aircraft than is the case at present, saying this should result in Serbia’s return of some planes to Montenegro.

According to him, some army’s assets were moved to and from Montenegro to Serbia on several occasions, which “created confusion, making it impossible to tell what belongs where”.
