Socialists choose party president
Zoran Anđelković and Ivica Dačić, tipped as the most likely candidates to succeed, say they are aware that the Milošević era is “gone for good”. Still, the congress is set to adopt a resolution on “the historical significance of Slobodan Milošević”.Anđelković and Dačić also say that their main argument in the race to become the new SPS president is the fact they not only held the party together after October 5, 2000, but also put it back on Serbia’s political map.
Party officials Milorad Vučelić and Petar Škundrić are also running for the post.
