He said that Serbia will become a member of the EU when it has completed all of the necessary requirements.“The speed of Serbia’s trip to the EU is in its hands. In the short-term, full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal is the condition, and a reform of the legal system, police and state administrations are the long-term goals.” Rehn said.
He also commended the democratic powers in Serbia for doing a good job in bringing Serbia closer to the EU and the progress made economically, especially.
