Zoran Lončar said that elections for the Vojvodina parliamentary elections will be announced after needed laws are passed.

Laws before elections in Vojvodina

The new package of laws will enable essential autonomy, Lončar said. However, he did not give a more precise timetable for when the laws would be ready for the parliamentary procedure.

“The reforms look to implemented legal regulations which would enable the state administration to de-politicize its political officials, who will be reduced to just ministers and deputy ministers, and all others will be professionals.” Lončar said.

He said that the chief goals of the laws are professionalization, decentralization, modernization and an increase in the general work of the state institutions.
