Jovanović calls for a “new system of values”

The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party said that he is not opposing the constitutional proposal because Prime Minister Koštunica wrote it, or because President Tadić is backing it, but because “this constitution is a big step backwards and a very poor message which says that we are a society that is incapable of defining our vision.” Jovanović said.

He added that a consensus regarding the new constitution has been reached in order for the people who are in power to maintain their positions, and for the socialists and radicals to be freed of taking responsibility for what they have done in the past.
