The Serbian Military’s Special Brigade will be officially formed on Friday, September 29.

Special Brigade’s official formation on Friday

The formation of this special brigade will take all members of special military units and formations and turn them into one unit.

The brigade will be made up of professional soldiers of the 63rd Parachute brigade, the 72nd Special brigade, and parts of the anti-terrorist “Cobra” unit, along with members of the 82nd Naval unit from Kumbor who have decide to continue their military careers in Serbia.

The Cobra unit members who do not join the Special Brigade directly will form the anti-terrorist battalion of the brigade.

Commander of the 63rd Parachute brigade, Colonel Ilija Todorov, is the chief candidate for being elected as the inaugural commander of the Special Brigade.
