Rupel recommends formation of alliance

“Let us form a group of friends for Serbia. A group that could, if it is desired, relay messages and create an atmosphere of support in this time when the future of the Western Balkans, Serbia and Kosovo, is being discussed.” Rupel said.

European Movement official Jelica Minić said that she believes that Rupel’s initiative should be welcomed by Serbia. She said that it could present a new chapter in the foreign politics of Serbia, which has not treated friendships with other countries seriously enough in the last two decades.

“Of course, it is very good that this came from Slovenia. I believe that the group would not be pointless, these are six countries that are European Union members, and could really add a lot to the development of Serbia’s status in the international community, especially in the EU, and could in the long run help the extremely bad image of Serbia.” Minić said.
