Petersen denies Kosovo remarks

His real words were: "My message and appeal to the Kosovar leadership is to continue to work and never stop to implement the dream of Kosovo, and we all know what this dream is, but I am not going to mention it here."
The news was picked up by Reuters as well as the Serbian foreign ministry however, with the latter hitting back accusing him of prejudging July talks on the final status of the province.

Petersen recently announced that he will resign his post at the end of June, claiming he wants to spend more time with his family.
But other UN agencies have in the past raised eyebrows over his closeness to ethnic Albanian leaders in Priština, especially former Kosovo prime minister and war crimes indictee Ramush Haradinaj.
