Hahn: Positive processes in W. Balkans evident

The Western Balkans Summit in Vienna has confirmed that there are many positive processes in the region, EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn said.

Hahn: Positive processes in W. Balkans evident

In a statement to Tanjug, Hahn noted that the countries of the Western Balkans had established good relations, and held joint government sittings.

Saying that he was glad that the Western Balkans Summit had been held, Hahn noted that much had been achieved this year, in terms of both content and atmosphere.

The conclusions of the Summit highlighted the European perspective of all countries of the region, and during the Summit the agreement was reached on concrete infrastructure projects in the field of transport, he noted.

This is an investment package worth EUR 600 million this year, the commissioner emphasized.

The Western Balkans Summit was held in Vienna on Thursday, as part of the Berlin Process that was initiated by German Chancellor Angela Merkel about a year ago.
