BELGRADE Top Serbian officials expressed their full agreement with the state policy for Kosovo at a meeting on Wednesday, says Serbia’s PM Ivica Dacic. The meeting, which started around 23:00 CET in Belgrade, was aside from the prime minister attended by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic, parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic and government’s Office for Kosovo Director Aleksandar Vulin. “Top Serbian officials in full agreement on Kosovo” Dacic said after the meeting that he had informed the president and other participants of the meeting about results of the latest talks in Brussels and talks ahead of the European Council’s opinion about Serbia’s progress on the EU pathway. He announced that the top state officials would inform northern Kosovo mayors about the dialogue with Pristina on Thursday. Dacic said earlier on Wednesday that the meeting with Kosovo PM and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy was “nothing new”. “Are we surprised that something that was signed in February is implemented and are we surprised that a coalition agreement on the forming of the government was signed, in which the president and the ruling parties said they would implement what had been agreed? Let's not toy with the fate of Serbs from Kosovo. I urge everyone not to start battles we cannot win,” he noted. Ivica Dacic (Beta, file) Tanjug
