Serbs keeping watch at a roadblock in Zupce, northern Kosovo, on Wednesday warned EULEX that their license plates may "no longer be valid in the area". This will happen "once vehicles with Serbian plates are denied entry via (administrative line) crossings in northern Kosovo". Serbs warn EULEX about their license plates Local Serbs stopped three EULEX vehicles at the barricade today, and warned the members of the EU mission that their plates will no longer be valid in Ibarski Kolasin once EULEX tries to ban Serbian license plates in this area. The Serbs guard on a daily basis the barricade in Zupce, erected on the road Kosovska Mitrovica - Ribarice, where one lane is open traffic. EULEX convoys use the road every day in order to carry out their duties at the administrative crossing Brnjak, on the administrative line between Kosovo and central Serbia. Earlier in the day, EULEX members were handing out flyers "informing the drivers who use the Jarinje administrative crossing that they need to have their vehicles registered to KS or RKS license plates", said reports. The EU mission also said that "new regulations for license plates were in compliance with the freedom of movement agreement reached in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, conducted with EU mediation". Last week, chief Belgrade negotiator in the dialogue with Pristina Borislav Stefanovic stated that Serbian authorities were "in constant contact with the international community and trying to prevent Pristina from abusing the Brussels agreement". Stefanovic underlined that Pristina's unilateral moves "led to the threshold of another legal, political and security abuse of agreements reached in Brussels." "Nothing like this was agreed in Brussels, neither publicly nor secretly," Stefanovic was quoted as saying. Tanjug

Earlier in the day, EULEX members were handing out flyers "informing the drivers who use the Jarinje administrative crossing that they need to have their vehicles registered to KS or RKS license plates", said reports.

The EU mission also said that "new regulations for license plates were in compliance with the freedom of movement agreement reached in the Belgrade-Priština dialogue, conducted with EU mediation".

Last week, chief Belgrade negotiator in the dialogue with Priština Borislav Stefanović stated that Serbian authorities were "in constant contact with the international community and trying to prevent Priština from abusing the Brussels agreement".

Stefanović underlined that Priština's unilateral moves "led to the threshold of another legal, political and security abuse of agreements reached in Brussels."

"Nothing like this was agreed in Brussels, neither publicly nor secretly," Stefanović was quoted as saying.
