Roads leading to Zubin Potok are open to traffic again as of noon on Monday, after being blocked for more than two hours earlier in the day. Local Serbs guarding the barricade in Zupce did not allow EULEX vehicles to pass towards the Brnjak administrative crossing in northern Kosovo, Tanjug reported. Serbs prevent passage of EULEX vehicles Three EULEX vehicles headed back in the direction of southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, after which the Serbs lifted the barricade and KFOR removed their road block at a checkpoint near the village of Jagnjenica. The area saw a similar scenario play out on Sunday, when Serbs blocked the Zubin Potok-Zvecan road in order to prevent three SUVs belonging to the EU mission, EULEX, from passing. The road was unblocked when an agreement was reached with representatives of NATO troops, KFOR. The road was blocked with passenger cars, sometime after 20:00 CET last night. The EULEX vehicles headed back toward Zubin Potok and the village of Jagnjenica after spending an hour at the barricade. Some 100 local Serbs had gathered to block their passage. They went homes when EULEX vehicles turned back - the development that came after a member of the U.S. KFOR spoke to both sides. The EULEX vehicles were headed toward the administrative crossing of Jarinje. Representatives of the Zvecan municipality said that they had reached an agreement earlier, to be respected until Wednesday, which would allow three EULEX vehicles at to pass at a time - on the condition that only EULEX members were inside the cars, without making attempts to transport Kosovo customs to the checkpoints in the north. EULEX was blocked last night for the sixth time in the past several days, while representatives of local self-government from northern Kosovo and international missions are set to meet on Wednesday.
