Suspended police chiefs in north "to show up for work"
Source: Tanjug
KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- Head of the Kosovska Mitrovica municipality Krstimir Pantić says the northern Kosovo police station chiefs suspended earlier "will appear for work on Friday".
"Kosovo police director Resat Malici cannot relieve station commanders in northern Kosovo. That decision can only be made by local self-governments and the people living in the north of the province," Pantić noted.
He said Malici "better focus on the crime within police ranks in southern Kosovska Mitrovica".
Pantić added that he learned on Wednesday that four members of "a special unit called ROSU had been arrested for organized crime and corruption".
The town of Kosovska Mitrovica is divided into its northern, predominantly Serb, and southern, ethnic Albanian parts.
