Protest in support of "KLA values"

Several hundred members of the former so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) protested Tuesday in Pristina over the arrest of nine of their peers. The nine ethnic Albanians were arrested on suspicion that they had committed during the conflict in Kosovo. Protest in support of "KLA values" The protests under the slogan "Everyone to the defense of KLA values", was organized by groups created after the breakup of the KLA, joined by a group of students and the NGO group Coalition for Democracy. The protesters started at the Faculty of Philology, walked down the main street in Pristina and stopped at the plateau in front of the Kosovo government. The protesters, who were carrying Albanian flags with KLA insignia, shouted "KLA, KLA", "set our liberators free" and called on EULEX to leave Kosovo. The protest ended without incidents. Ten days ago EULEX arrested a group of former KLA members, suspected of crimes committed in the Klecka concentration camp near Lipljan. EULEX also has an arrest warrant for Fatmir Limaj, the commander of the KLA unit which was deployed in the area around Klecka, but he is protected by his immunity as a member of the assembly in Pristina.
