Hashim Thaci will likely become Kosovo's next president, while Mimoza Kusari-Lila could take over as prime minister. This is according to a Kosovo Press news agency report today, which cites sources close to Thaci's Democratic Party of Kosovo. Hashim Thaci, Kosovo's new president? This would in turn mean that there would be a minority government in Pristina, formed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Alliance for New Kosovo. One week after the elections in Kosovo, where the Thaci party took the most votes, no party has made official statements regarding the possible coalition agreements. Meanwhile, the outgoing Kosovo Albanian prime minister's name has been in the media in connection to serious accusations. Thaci was named in the Marty report as the ringleader of a KLA gang accused of kidnapping Serbs in Kosovo and selling their body parts in 1999 and 2000.
