Vojvodina Assembly Speaker Šandor Egereši said that the statute draft represents the best move that is possible for Vojvodina in the current political climate.
He said that a change in the Serbian constitution is needed, adding that Vojvodina did not receive everything that belongs to the province.
Egereši told daily Dnevnik that many things that could objectively contribute to improvement in the province and a quicker development of Serbia as a whole are still lacking.
“In the democratic process of announced constitutional changes for Serbia, we can do many more things,” he said.
Egereši added that the Serbian constitution is not in accordance with European norms.
