Opposition DSS spokesman Andreja Mladenović assessed on Friday that with its bill on powers and statute, Vojvodina was becoming a “state within a state”.
After the Serbian government approved the bill on Thursday, the Executive Council of Vojvodina published on its official website the draft statute of Vojvodina, as well as all the accompanying modifications which they qualified as legal and technical, Mladenović told Tanjug.
“With their brutal violation of the Serbian Constitution, the Democratic Party has taken the side of the separatist policy of (leader of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina Nenad) Čanak, and has thus joined the company of separatist parties whose sole interest is to tear Serbia apart,” Mladenović said.
