New Serbian ambassador to Ukraine

KIEV -- Newly appointed Serbian Ambassador to Ukraine Dušan Lazić presented his credentials to Ukranian President Viktor Yushchenko on Tuesday.

The Serbian Embassy in Kiev said in a statement that Yushchenko and Lazić concluded that relations and cooperation between Serbia and Ukraine are developing successfully.

They also added at there are "mutual interests and vast possibilities for their further improvement, in the spirit of traditional friendship between the two countries".

Yushchenko informed Lazić about Ukraine's "basic foreign policy directions and priorities, and the processes of its association with the EU", the statement read.
