TIRANA, BUDAPEST --
Serbian and Albanian Foreign Ministers Vuk Jeremić and Ilir Meta have agreed to establish a framework as soon as possible for forging bilateral relations.
Jeremić and Meta, who talked at the meeting of Visegrad Four (V4) foreign ministers in Budapest dedicated to the West Balkans, agreed that cooperation between Serbia and Albania was very significant for strengthening peace, stability and progress in the region.
Meta told a press conference after the meeting that, with regards to Tirana’s position on Kosovo, “despite our countries’ clashing views on this issue, Kosovo’s future is a secure European future just as for the rest of the region.” The two ministers agreed to improve relations in all areas of mutual interest, and in the EU integration process.
Jeremić invited his Albanian counterpart to visit Belgrade, which Meta gladly accepted.
