Some 130 Serbian trucks, stranded in Greece over the weekend, were allowed to "resume with their activities". The Greek authorities prevented them from leaving the country because their transport licenses had expired. Greece releases over 100 Serbian trucks Serbia's Association of International Transport President Nedjo Mandic told B92 in Belgrade on Tuesday that it is still unclear when the shipping companies can expect to have their licenses renewed. He said the Greek demands to have road tolls for Serbian and foreign vehicles on Serbia's roads brought to the same level was legitimate, bearing in mind that this is the practice abroad. Madic warned that the state should make sure the domestic companies are issued with more working licenses via the activates of mixed commissions. "Serbian trucks face great limitations considering that there's a small number of licenses agreed upon through bilateral talks with other countries. This comes as a consequence of a long embargo, and after that, the volume of licenses changed." "However, some countries did not allow for any increases, so that, for example, we have the same amount of Italian licenses today as we did eight years ago. The condition would be to equalize the working conditions for our and Italian transport companies," said Mandic.
