| Priština denies technical negotiations |

A spokesman for the Kosovo Albanian government in Priština says there will be no technical talks with Belgrade "until Serbia accepts Kosovo as an equal state".
"There are no plans for meetings at a technical level. Such talks will not take place until Serbia accepts Kosovo as an equal state," Memli Krasniqi was quoted as saying.
Earlier, media in Belgrade and Priština cited UNMIK spokesman Russell Geekie who said that a timetable of meetings on expert level technical issues would be determined in January.
The government in Belgrade is saying that it is ready to speak to Priština's representatives under the condition that the Kosovo delegation be represented as UNMIK Kosovo.
Kosovo Albanian leadership sees this as "absolutely unacceptable".
On Nov. 26, the UN Security Council decided to adopt Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's Kosovo report, that asks for agreement to be reached over the so-called six-point plan, particularly significant for the Serb community in the province.
Belgrade said the six points it insisted on were adopted, allowing it to accept the deployment of the EU's EULEX mission. They pertain to police, judiciary, customs, transportation and telecommunications, as well as protection of cultural and religious sites.
Kosovo Albanian leadership has rejected the plan.
