Tadić reacts to Karadžić arrest

BELGRADE -- Two days after the arrest of war crimes suspect Radovan Karadžić, President Boris Tadić has commented the news.

Tadić said on Wednesday that the locating and arresting of the Hague indictee was a result of commitment of the new authorities' observing international law, laws of Serbia and the fact that the individual responsibility for crimes committed in the territory of the former Yugoslavia had to be determined.

The president's press service said the Tribunal "must hold impartial trials of war crimes indictees regardless of their names, family names, nationality or religious affiliation".
